China becoming selective in foreign trade
Speaking at the trade fair, Commerce Minister Bo Xilai said China's future foreign economic and trade collaboration should be based on a new platform.
He said while cooperation projects are expanding, technological cooperation should be deepened.
The minister said the new requirements for China's foreign trade are not only necessary, but also feasible.
Experts say Bo's attitude demonstrates that the Chinese government is attaching increasing importance to science and technology innovation, and is showing more awareness of the need to be selective and benefit-oriented in its dealings with overseas businesses.
