“Mouseville-On-Sea！” called the railway porter， and out of the train jumped Flora Housemouse with her children， Helen and Henry. The little family were going to stay with Granny for their summer holiday.
As soon as they reached Granny's house， the little mice wanted to go down to the beach. They were too excited to eat any tea， and so， taking some cheese sandwiches with them， Flora Housemouse and her little mice set off for the sands with their Granny.
It was nice and shady under the pier， so Flora and Granny sat their while the little mice put on their bathing suits and went to the edge of the water to play.
At the side of the pier was a rowing boat. The little mice scampered up the side and dropped down inside. Suddenly the boat moved and a fisherman climbed in and began to row！
Two frightened little mice hid under the ropes， shivering and dripping wet. And there they had to stay - two miserable sailors， until at last the fisherman rowed back to the pier.
“Where have you been？” cried Flora， when the two wet mice came scurrying under the pier. “Granny and I have been wanting to go home to supper.”
Sadly， Helen and Henry told their mother that they had been to sea in a fisherman's boat. They knew they had been very naughty to climb into the boat in the first place.
However， as they had both had a bad fright， Flora wasn't really across with her children. Collecting all their things， the mouse family went back to Granny's house， where they had a lovely super of toasted cheese.
