(中英)针灸治疗牙痛处方

　　胃火牙痛 Toothache due to Stomach-Fire

　　主症

　　牙痛甚剧，兼有口臭口渴，便秘，舌苔黄，脉洪数等。

　　Main Manifestations

　　Severe toothache accompanied by foul breath, thirst, constipation, yellow tongue coating, forceful and rapid pulse.　　

　　风火牙痛 Toothache due to Wind Fire

　　主症

　　牙痛龈肿，兼恶寒发热，脉浮数等。

　　Main Manifestations

　　Acute toothache with gingival swelling accompanied by chills and fever, superficial and rapid pulse.　

　　肾虚牙痛 Toothache due to Deficiency of Kidney ::

　　主症

　　牙痛隐隐，时作时止，牙齿浮动，舌红体瘦,脉细数。　　

　　Main Manifestations

　　Dull pain comes and goes, loose teeth, absence of foul breath, red tongue, thin tongue body, thready and rapid pulse.　　

　　治法

　　取手足阳明经穴为主。针用泻法，以清热泻火止痛。风火牙痛加手少阳经穴，针刺用泻法，以怯风泻火；肾虚牙痛加足少阴经穴，针刺用平补平泻法，以滋阴降火。

　　Treatment

　　The Points of Large Intestine and Stomach Meridians are selected. Reducing manipulation is applied to eliminate heat and stop pain. For toothache due to wind fire, Points of Triple Energizer Meridian are added. The reducing manipulation is applied to dispel wind and clear off heat, for toothache caused by deficiency of kidney, the points of Kidney Meridian are added. The even manipulation is applied to nourish Yin and lower the fire.

　　Hegu (LI 4), Neiting (ST 44), Xiaguan (ST 7).　　　

　　随证配穴

　　风火牙痛：翳风，液门；

　　肾虚牙痛：太溪　　

　　Additional Points

　　For toothache caused by with fire: Yifeng (TE 17), Yemen (TE 2),

　　for toothache due to deficiency of kidney:Taixi (KI 3).
